Mis-Directing the Play

This is what college has looked like so far. Swift mac. I have made it for multiple roommates, friends and friends of friends. Also myself. A lot for myself.

I had the sweetest day. Cheers to deep dates and digging in people's brains that you never have dug in before.

And also to embarrassing videos that people posted when they were in high school and never took off. R.I.P. Tyler....

LOVE,
lem

first day back!

this is what lem's day looked like

Mumford & Sons

Mumford and Sons- Sigh No More.

Just came up on my limewire and did you know lem its based on Much Ado?

It is a song/book/poem that is referenced in the play many times and in the Kenneth B. version of the movie they use it as a motif the whole time ANNNNNND
IT HAS MY FAVORITE LINE FROM THE PLAY IN IT.

"Serve God, Love me, and Mend"- Benedick says it to Beatrice. Isn't this weird? I've never heard this song before or realized its connection I guess? Is this a sign? What does it all mean?

I think they are nice words to live by, don't you?

Will be back later today with the four simple rules....will you do them to laura?

Link 1- http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com/ (to the four simple goals...go back like four pages)

Travels with Dave!

Yesterday Dave and I hiked here.....It is reflection lake right below the mountain. We hiked the Wonderland trail (a 92 mile trail that goes around the mountain, but we didn't hike for 92 miles, duh...) to the Reflection Lake trail then we scurried up to Valley Road and caught the trailhead for Bench and Snow Lakes where Dave promptly started complaining about the switchbacks. Gotta love him. After I pushed Dave up the mountain we sat by the beeeaauuutoful snow lake for about 4 hours, i got sunburnt, bad, and a ground squirrel crawled over my belly, we headed back. About 9 miles round trip-BIG HIKE FOR DAVE AND LEM. LET ME TELL YOU. I don't know why this is underlined...

The Good Thing About Losing a Parent

Oh wait, there are no good things.

BUT

Since I have lost my mom I know how important parents are. I've learned the hard way, but I know that I should be so grateful for Dave. And I know how important it is to know your parents as people not just ATMs. So as Dave and I hike around Mt. Rainier, we talk and I know him better.

You should try this too.

Not hiking around Mt. Rainier if that's not your thing, but getting to know your parents as a friend.
That's everybody's thing.

Huzzah for Bob and Dave,
Lem

It's All Over Now Baby Blue

Well, Lem is going to post a huge Chicago post-bucket list when we are reunited at camp college, so you will get the scoop with pics about all the music we saw, all the plays we saw, all the things we did with our internships, all the people who visited us and the antics that took place.
All in all I give Chicago a 10 out of 10 even though it wasn't what I thought/planned/wanted it to be :)

MEANWHILE.

I am in Canada or 1 Bourbon Sour + Two Gentlemen of Verona=Zzzzzing Dave

Nuff said.

No really. I am. Seeing plays. With Dave. Last night I had a Bourbon Sour and Dave got crunk on Stratford Pilsner and I had to stop him from calling the waitress 'dear'. Awkward...

Today we will
1) read books
2) shop for books
3) meet the festival
4) eat at the co-op (POTATO SALAD)
5) see plays
6) work on my play (this is a solo venture, duh)
7) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
P.S.- Here is St. Philomena. I had to carry a four foot statue of her around the city on my last day of work. What fun. She didn't come in a box.
